At Tamarind, you can:

  • be introduced to the many tastes of Lao food in a friendly atmosphere
  • take a one-day cooking class, learning about local cuisine, customs and ingredients
  • join us for our Friday night special Lao-style fish barbecue
  • buy gift-packs of local produce, cooking implements and recipes… for a taste of Laos at home
  • get to know Luang Prabang, the beautifully preserved ancient capital of Laos

Lemongrass Granita Tamarind has rapidly established a reputation for its distinctive food and authentic small-group cooking classes(see Testimonials). To find out why, visit Monday to Saturday, 11am - 6pm. You'll find us directly opposite Wat Nong temple.

We open later for special meals and group bookings, with tour groups welcome - we're happy to discuss your needs.
